Alien Skin Software, based in Raleigh, has hired Distill to launch a new software package aimed at the professional photography market. The new product, called Exposure, is a plug-in for Photoshop that allows users to give their digital photographs "classic film" looks.
Distill will handle all branding for Exposure's national launch, from logo and package design to print advertising. The product will initially be targeted to professional photographers who miss having the ability to switch between film stocks to achieve certain looks.
"Working with a client like Alien Skin is every ad agency's dream," said Adam Cohen, Distill's founder and creative director. "People absolutely love their products, and the company's culture is a mix of talent, fun and irreverence that lends itself to outstanding marketing creativity. They bring out the best in us."
Distill beat out several local agencies to win the account. They are also slated to help redesign Alien Skin's website and trade show materials, as well as help with future product launches.
