Distill Films Wins "Best Narrative Short" at Ohio Independent Film Festival
February 2005

Distill Films, a division of Distill that focuses on film and video production, beat out five other finalists to win "Best Narrative Short" at the 2004 Ohio Independent Film Festival.

The short, titled "Love Scene," was written, directed and produced by Adam Cohen, Distill's creative director. Bryan Donnell was the film's cinematographer; Liz McBee was a co-producer. The film stars Micah Cover, Melissa Thompson and Stefan Hajek.

"We were blown away when we heard we had won. So many people are making films these days and entering them into festivals. Any time you can stand out from the crowd, it's a thrill," Cohen said.

Distill Films provides a full range of production and entertainment services, including the development of sales videos, online videos and television commercials. Distill Films will also pursue its own creative projects.

The Ohio Independent Film Festival, established in 1993, is dedicated to freedom of expression through the art of independent media. The annual festival, held in Cleveland, encourages independent filmmaking by providing a reputable venue for media work the public may not otherwise see.
